Da'wah is a vital activity to all Muslim activities, including to the world of zakat and the amil. The duty of an amil is not merely to collect and distribute zakat funds. In that regard, Prof. Dr KH Didin Hafidhuddin had said so during his keynote speech at the Mudzakarah Dakwah Indonesia, which was held by Baznas Muallaf Center (MCB) at Harris Hotel, Bandung, on November 8-10, 2019.

In the event, MCB invited BAZNAS Centre of Strategic Studies to present its scholarly work on developing the index of prone to apostasy. In the session, Dr Muhammad Choirin, the deputy director of Puskas, department of Study, Publications and Network, had spoken elaborating the study.  Dr Choirin specifically explained the apostolic-prone areas in the nationwide of Indonesia. 

In his presentation, Dr Choirin explained upon the factors that have been causing faith conversion, including level of income and the limited religious understanding. Further, Dr Choirin also explained the indicators which are employed in the Apostasy Prone Index, which are religious indicators and the component of underdeveloped regions. These indicators were assigned with relevant variables and weight, so that it can best measure an area, be it a village or a city, which the population is highly considered to convert their Islamic belief into other religions.
