On Monday, February 19, 2024, a meeting and socialization of the Zakat and Poverty Newspaper/Bulletin Development Program was held which was opened directly by the Head of BAZNAS for Planning, Study and Development, Prof. (HC) Dr. H Zainulbahar Noor, SE, M.Ec. held online via zoom meeting and inviting all partners of the Zakat Management Laboratory. This socialization was attended by 10 academics from 7 campuses including Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Institut Ilmu Al-Qur’an Jakarta, UIN Walisongo Semarang, Universitas Islam Nahdlatul Ulama Jepara, UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Jember, Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu.

The meeting and socialization of the Zakat and Poverty Newspaper/Bulletin Development Program which will be collaborated with Zakat Management Laboratory (LMZ) partners went smoothly and received high enthusiasm from the leadership and the University. Next, an editorial team will be formed to create the Zakat and Poverty Newspaper as optimally as possible, consisting of the BAZNAS team and the LMZ academic community.

This Zakat and Poverty Bulletin aims to provide updates on poverty conditions in the community and build a call to action to provide solutions to local problems and realities. Promoting zakat as an instrument for alleviating poverty and improving the welfare of the people. Inviting people to give zakat through institutions through profiles of the benefits of institutional zakat. Inviting the public and academics to provide critical and academic ideas as contributors on the topic of zakat and poverty alleviation, updating information related to the activities of the Zakat Management Laboratory (LMZ).
