Jakarta, January 22, 2024 – BAZNAS participated in the Coordination Meeting on Enhancing the Independence Dimension of the Family Development Index (iBangga) organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko PMK). iBangga serves as a measure to evaluate the success of efforts in improving the quality of families in Indonesia, comprising three dimensions: Peacefulness, Independence, and Happiness.

The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) is preparing 10 priority programs for 2025 aimed at contributing to poverty alleviation in Indonesia. As of 2024, more than 20,000 households have benefited from BAZNAS RI programs and are currently under its guidance. "Alhamdulillah, we can now see that the zakat contributed by Kemenko PMK employees has been distributed to the mustahik. Perhaps it can also be further integrated into programs that enhance household quality within iBangga," said Ir. Mustikorini Indrijatiningrum, M.E., Assistant Deputy for Family Resilience and Population Development.

The event was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Works, PT SMF, the Land Bank Agency, and the Eling Indonesia Character Foundation. During the meeting, these representatives presented programs that support the enhancement of the Independence Dimension of iBangga, focusing on indicators such as the fulfillment of basic needs, continuity of education, family health, access to information, and financial security.
