Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS), together with Le Minerale and Istiqlal Mosque, has launched a drop box to collect plastic bottle waste, the profits of which will be used to help the Palestinian people. The purpose of this drop box launch is to manage recyclable plastic bottle waste and generate profits that can be used to bring great benefits to the people of Indonesia and the people of Palestine.

Attended by the Chairman of BAZNAS RI Prof. Dr. KH. Noor Achmat, M.A., Marketing Director of Le Mineral Febri Satria Hutama, Head of Social and Community Empowerment of the Istiqlal Mosque Management Agency H. Abu Hurairah Abdul Salam, Lc., MA., and staff, held at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, Friday (14/3/2025).

Chairman of BAZNAS RI Prof. Dr. KH Noor Achmad MA, said that Le Minerale as a partner has taken an important role in doing good, especially regarding humanity. He revealed that Le Minerale does not only think about profits in the form of money, but thinks about long-term benefits that are of great benefit to the community.

“We have listened together that Le Minerale as an original Indonesian product, whose name is currently not only big in Indonesia but in the world. Le Minerale is not only concerned with trade but also with humanity. Through this collaboration, BAZNAS and Le Minerale will help Palestine, helping our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” said Kiai Noor.

Kiai Noor Achmad also said that BAZNAS RI is committed to providing humanitarian assistance, including for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. According to him, there are many ways to do good, one of which is by collecting plastic bottles into a dropbox that will generate many benefits.

“BAZNAS would like to thank Le Minerale and the Istiqlal Mosque for jointly launching a dropbox that will hold bottles that will be recycled again. You can imagine how many of these bottles if collected, God willing, it will be a lot if counted. Together we care, care for our environment and care for the people of Palestine,” he said.

On this occasion, Marketing Director of Le Minerale Febri Satria Hutama emphasized, through the launch of this dropbox not only establishing cooperation in the business sector, but building friendly relations with BAZNAS and the Istiqlal Mosque, and of course helping the Palestinian people.

“The spirit of ukhuwah or friendship that Le Minerale has established together with BAZNAS and Istiqlal Mosque currently includes the spirit of ukhuwah Islamiyah, ukhuwah wathaniyah, and ukhuwah basyariyah,” said Febri.

“Through the dropbox launch program, it is hoped that people will not litter. After that we will process the bottles and utilize them into reusable tools. This will bring economic value with great benefits, and the proceeds from this collection will be distributed to our brothers and sisters in need both in Indonesia and Palestine,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Le Minerale Brand Ambassador Irwansyah said that this program is part of the company's social responsibility which not only focuses on business profits, but also seeks to create a positive impact on society and the environment.

“With this recycling program, we hope to make a real contribution in helping those in need, both in Palestine and Indonesia. And hopefully, it can provide an opportunity for the community to care more about the environment and others,” said Irwansyah.

The Head of Social and Community Empowerment of Istiqlal Mosque Management Board H. Abu Hurairah Abdul Salam, Lc., MA, expressed his hope that in the future, both Le Minerale and BAZNAS can always prosper mosques in Indonesia with various humanitarian programs that will be developed in the future.

“Hopefully every sip of water and every mouthful of takjil given can be a reward. Without stopping contributing, hopefully Le Minerale and BAZNAS will continue to grow not only business success, but provide benefits to the wider community. And finally there is still istiqamah and participate in prospering the Istiqlal Mosque and other mosques in Indonesia,” he said.
