[Jakarta, Indonesia] - Friday, February 28, 2025, the National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS), along with Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) from various regions, participated in the Public Expose: Zakat Regency/City Index (IKKZ), which was conducted online via the Zoom Meeting platform. The event was opened with remarks by the Director of National ZIS-DSKL Studies and Development, Mr. Muhammad Hasbi Zaenal, Ph.D., followed by a presentation by Mrs. Dita Anggraini, S.E.

This event was attended by more than 70 participants from various BAZNAS and LAZ at the Regency/City level, who enthusiastically listened to the presentation on the importance of IKKZ as a measurement tool for the effectiveness of zakat management in the regions.

The Zakat Regency/City Index was developed to provide an objective mapping of various factors influencing zakat management, including government support, performance achievements, and public trust levels. This index aims to serve as a foundation for policy improvements and strategies to enhance zakat effectiveness in eradicating poverty and improving community welfare.
