BAZNAS Disaster Response Discover 60 Tsunami Victims Evacuating on Hill
The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) found 60 tsunami victims living on the hill in Lebak Apus Hamlet, Tanjung Jaya Village, Panimbang District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten. They took refuge in a poor conditions. The refugees came from the hamlet below to find a higher place because they were afraid of aftershock tsunami. "These refugees live in the homes of indigenous people with poor conditions. Their houses are only made of cubicles and ground, while the rain and drizzle continued to fall, "said BAZNAS Disaster Response Field Commander, Dede Nurjaman in a press conference received by Republika.co.id on Wednesday (26/12).
