As a non-structural government institution, BAZNAS is mandated by Law No. 23 of 2011 to manage zakat at the national level. This mandate drives BAZNAS to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of zakat management services, as well as to maximize the benefits of zakat in achieving societal welfare and alleviating poverty.
To accomplish these two major goals, BAZNAS must upgrade and strengthen its capacity to ensure continuous improvement in zakat management each year, ultimately providing greater benefits to society.
