On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Indonesia held the "Public Expose: Membasuh Luka Palestina" event at the MPR RI Building in Jakarta. The event aimed to present the achievements of humanitarian aid distribution to the Palestinian people and to expand the network of aid distribution through collaborations with trusted international organizations.

As of January 14, 2025, BAZNAS RI has distributed humanitarian aid amounting to IDR 120 billion, benefiting 407,350 recipients in Palestine. This aid reflects the solidarity of the Indonesian people in alleviating the suffering of Palestinians, who continue to face humanitarian challenges due to prolonged conflict. The Chairman of BAZNAS RI, Prof. Dr. KH. Noor Achmad, MA., emphasized that this action demonstrates the significant attention and concern of the Indonesian people toward global issues, particularly Palestine.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the Chairman of the MPR RI, H. Ahmad Muzani, the Chairman of Commission 8 of the DPR RI, H. Marwan Dasopang, M.Si., and the Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Lutfi Rauf, M.A. Additionally, Indonesia’s Ambassador to Jordan and Palestine, Ade Padmo Sarwono, delivered a virtual address. Representatives from international organizations such as UNRWA, JHCO, and KHCF also participated online to express their appreciation for the ongoing collaboration.

In his remarks, Dr. Lutfi Rauf highlighted the importance of cooperation between Indonesia and Middle Eastern countries to ensure the effective delivery of aid. Meanwhile, Ade Padmo Sarwono underscored that this aid is not only material but also a symbol of solidarity and moral support from the Indonesian people to the Palestinians. Representatives from UNRWA, JHCO, and KHCF expressed their gratitude for the support from the Indonesian people and BAZNAS RI in these humanitarian efforts.
In addition to presenting their achievements, the event also featured the signing of a virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BAZNAS RI and international organizations such as UNRWA, JHCO, and KHCF. This collaboration aims to expand the aid distribution network, ensure targeted distribution, and enhance transparency and accountability in program implementation.

The event highlights BAZNAS RI's commitment to leading global humanitarian actions by prioritizing cross-country and institutional synergy. Through a structured and coordinated approach, BAZNAS RI not only distributes aid but also provides hope for a better future for the Palestinian people.
